We were recently featured on the University of Toronto's student newspaper, the Varsity, and would like to thank them for allowing us to further share our mission. The full article can be read here. Keep an eye out for our new initiative coming soon!
We are excited to present our impact report for 2020, which documents all of last year's accomplishments! All of our work so far would not have been possible without the generous support of our volunteers and greater community. We thank you for supporting SAGE in 2020 and ask for your continued support for an even greater 2021. Please continue to support long-term care homes and keep an eye out for our new initiatives coming later this year! The full impact report can be viewed here or downloaded here.
Recently, we also had an interview with CTV Toronto about how we've helped long-term care homes during the pandemic. We thank CTV Toronto for giving us this opportunity to share our mission and will continue to look for meaningful ways to assist long-term care homes!
Recently, we had an opportunity to speak with Natasha Fatah on CBC Toronto about Companion Calls and why keeping seniors connected to their communities during the pandemic is important for their well-being. We thank Natasha and CBC Toronto for helping us share our mission and hope everyone is continuing to keep themselves safe and healthy while vaccines are being distributed!
Due to the recent increase in media coverage, we've received a lot of questions and volunteer applications. We are working hard to expand our initiatives to more homes in the coming weeks to accommodate everyone that has shown interest in becoming a volunteer. This includes bringing Companion Calls to new care homes as well as another new exciting initiative that will be revealed soon! In the meantime, if you have any questions, please check out our new frequently asked questions page at sageproject.ca/faq and continue to keep an eye out for updates on our social media!
